Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has heaped praise of Real Madrid youngster Raphael Varane.
Varane impressed Rio during Real's victory over Real Sociedad on Saturday.
Rio tweeted: "I'm enjoying the look of the young central defender for Real Madrid. He is 18 years old, looks good and calm."
Real actually trumped United for Varane last summer, much to Sir Alex Ferguson's frustration.
