Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand admits he fancies going into coaching post-retirement.

Ferdinand said: "A coaching role might appeal, be it with a youth team or a first team, management maybe.

"But who knows? I've got a long way to go yet with my career.

"I've just signed a new deal with United and long may that continue.

"But if it does come around in the future then great."
