Man Utd's Fellaini will miss just two weeks after surgery

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini expects to miss just a fortnight once he undergoes wrist surgery.

The Mail on Sunday says United hope to postpone surgery on his wrist until close to the New Year, with one eye on their upcoming Champions League group games against Bayer Leverkusen and Shakhtar Donetsk. Early fears he could be out for up to two months have been allayed, with latest reports suggesting he will be sidelined for just two weeks.

"In accordance with Manchester United's club doctor, Marouane will have surgery in December or January, unless he is ruled out in the meantime by something such as a suspension," said Belgium team doctor Kris van Crombrugge.
