Hull City signing Bernard Mendy has dropped good pal Patrice Evra, the Manchester United fullback, into the bad books of Tigers fans.

Defender Mendy, who moved from Paris St Germain, said: "When I told him I was coming to Hull, he said 'Where is Hull'?"
