Man Utd's Evra: Lyon players fear rout

Manchester United fullback Patrice Evra is convinced Olympique Lyon are coming to Old Trafford as beaten men.

He says the 7-1 thrashing of Roma last season in particular has his French countrymen shaking ahead of tonight's Champions League second round, second leg showdown.

Evra said: "It's strange but teams can be scared when they come to Old Trafford. We shouldn't underestimate the effect it can have.

"I've spoken to a few of the Lyon players. Their goalkeeper, Gregory Coupet, joked to me that he doesn't want to be in goal for a 7-1 like against Roma!

"I think that game is in the minds of a lot of players that come here on a European night. It was unique but it can affect teams. That's why we need to test Lyon from the off."
