Manchester United defender Jonny Evans knows how close he came to being sold to Sunderland at the start of the season.

He admitted: "If United had accepted the bid I would have gone.

"Some people might have thought it wasn't the right club for them, but having already been there I saw Sunderland as a great challenge. I would have been working with Roy Keane again.

"I'd love to play at Hull. I want to play in every game. It would be nice to say this season I've made 30 starts instead of 29. It would be a nice landmark."
