On-loan midfielrer Tom Cleverley has urged Aston Villa to kick on following their victory over Tottenham on the weekend.

Villa all but secured their Premier League status for another year following a wonderful 1-0 victory over Spurs at White Hart Lane but despite the boost, Manchester United's Cleverley has stated that his loan club are not safe as of yet.

Cleverley said: "We're definitely not safe yet. Just look at West Brom. They looked safe a couple of weeks ago and they've been dragged right back in.

"We won't be taking our foot off the gas. We feel really positive and if you'd said we'd pick up four points at the start of the week, we would have taken it."
