Man Utd's Carrick shrugs off England snub

Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick has shrugged off his England snub.

He said: "I'd love to be in the England squad, but the games I have played in for United have more than made up for that.

"Would United beat England? Well, I can't really answer that one. But let's just say I agreed with Sir Alex Ferguson when he recently said the Champions League has taken over from the World Cup as the best competition in football."
