Man Utd's Campbell delighted with his Spurs double

Manchester United striker Fraizer Campbell was delighted with his brace in Tottenham's Carling Cup victory over Liverpool.

"Darren (Bent) has been doing fantastically and Roman (Pavlyuchenko) too. You've got to stake your claim and do well when you have a chance," Campbell said after the game.

"That's what I've done tonight. But as a team we have struggled a little (earlier in the season) and we've been grateful someone like Darren has been there."

Campbell hailed the impact Redknapp has had since his arrival just over two weeks ago, in which time Spurs have gone on a six-game unbeaten run.

"He's come in, told me I'll get my chance and to keep working hard in training. That's all you need sometimes, a quick confidence boost," added Campbell.

Redknapp stated that Campbell's impact was exactly what he was looking for to spark rivalry amongst his forward line.

"That's what it's all about, having good competition for places," Redknapp told Sky Sports.

"Young Fraizer has been great, worked hard and you can see why (United manager) Sir Alex Ferguson doesn't want to sell him."
