Man Utd's Berbatov blasted by Bulgarian chief

Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has been criticised for his performance in Bulgaria's 0-0 draw with Italy.

The former Tottenham player was among the Premier League players criticised by the vice-president of the Bulgarian FA.

"The leaders should give more," said Yordan Lechkov. "It's not serious to see Berbatov running 2,000 metres during Saturday's match.

"Stilian Petrov passed the ball back 20 times to Ivan Ivanov."

Berbatov is angry Lechkov spoke to the media and not him.

He said: "When I want to say something to someone I'm watching him in his eyes."
