Man Utd youth chief Ryan welcomes Milk Cup draw

Manchester United youth chief Jim Ryan says they're excited about again competing in the Milk Cup.

Former United player Corry Evans, who is now with Hull City, assisted with the draw for the 30th running of the prestigious youth tournament on Friday.

The Reds will face Northern Ireland's Co Tyrone, Norwegian side Revo Express and Japanese club Ichifuna during the group stages.

"We normally do the Milk Cup, it's almost an automatic choice," director of youth football Jim Ryan told ManUtd.com. "We have lots of old friends there in Northern Ireland. They always look after us well and we try to help them as much as we can.

"It comes at a good time for the young boys as they can do some pre-season work, have some games away from Manchester and get the idea of being in a tournament and being together."
