Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck is delighted with the faith shown by manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Ferguson has publicly declared he expects Welbeck to make England's World Cup squad next year.
"It's always special to hear stuff like that from the manager," Welbeck told United Review. "But I don't just sit there and think it's all going to fall into place for me now.
"Now's the time to work harder than I've ever worked before, take heed of the manager's words, and push on."
He added: "At the moment that's all I'm thinking about. I'm trying to improve my allround game and I've still got time on my hands, I've only just turned 19, so I'm just taking it step by step."
