Man Utd young gun Rashford recalls monumental Man City winner

Marcus Rashford has already scored some vital goals in his fledgling Manchester United career.

The 18-year-old striker burst onto the scene last season with a double on debut against Midtjylland in the Europa League before backing that up with another brace on his Premier League bow against Arsenal.

The teenager then wrote himself into United folklore by scoring the winner in the 1-0 derby triumph over Man City in March and although he rates the debut Midtjylland goal as his most emotional moment, he recalls the first-half strike against City as a very special goal.

"In the game it was quite even so it could have gone either way," he told United Review.

"We were attacking and then they were attacking. I think they had a bit more of the ball but they weren't really threatening us. There were two times before the goal when I got on a one-v-one with him [Martin Demichelis] and he just nicked the ball off me.

"I knew what I needed to do the next time I got the ball so I did it.

"Then I was against the keeper [Joe Hart] and it was just about relaxing, composing myself and that was what I did.

"After it went in, the fans were too far away but it was a good feeling with everyone coming towards you. To win the game 1-0 as well, to hold out as a team was great."
