Man Utd young gun did not ask for massive transfer fee - Crystal Palace star Cabaye

Crystal Palace star Yohan Cabaye has stated that it is unfair to judge Anthony Martial purely on the basis of his price tag.

Following his whopping £36million move to Manchester United, Martial has made a wonderful start to life at Old Trafford, amidst plenty of negativity regarding his lofty fee.

Given his massive price tag though, many will expect Martial to continue in such fashion for the rest of the season but France teammate Cabaye believes that the 19-year old should not be put under unfair pressure just because United decided to pay so much money for his services.

Speaking to FourFourTwo, Cabaye said: "They speak about him [Martial in England]. I am not surprised about how quickly he fits in and what he's able to do on the pitch. He's very talented.

"He's very young but by the way he plays and behaves on and outside the pitch, he seems very calm and adult. He could manage all the fuss about his transfer and the fees.

"At the end of the day, the poor guy did not ask for nothing in term of the amount spent but it comes back on him. He's doing very well. I wish he'll keep doing that way. He has great abilities. I hope he'll leave his mark on the Premier League."
