Manchester United are yet to make a final decision on moving for Cruzeiro midfielder Everton Ribeiro.
The Daily Mail says United are eager to find the creative midfielder they crave but are frustrated with the approach of some clubs and agents who have used them as stalking horses to hike up fees or trigger contract re-negotiations.
Ribeiro is one they have considered and he would cost £10m but they have reservations about whether he is the calibre required. Borussia Dortmund's Ilkay Gundogan is wanted at Real Madrid while other clubs remain reluctant to sell in January.
