The Manchester Evening News says Fellaini is on the Reds' radar as boss Sir Alex Ferguson looks to bolster his midfield options.

Everton's Belgian bruiser Fellaini showed United just how powerful he can be on the opening day of the season with a match-winning performance, and is believed to have a £22m buy-out clause in his contract.

United are likely to face competition from Chelsea for the 25-year-old's signature.
