Man Utd wonder boy Macheda reflects on dream debut

Federico Macheda began his first team career at Manchester United in fantastic fashion by scoring the winner in injury time against Aston Villa.

The 17-year old came on as a 60th minute substitute and was impressive enough until he made his debut even more special by sending the Red Devils back to the top of the league table.

"I think this is the day of my dreams. It was my dream to have my debut and to score a goal like that. I very much enjoyed it," he told Sky Sports 1.

Macheda added that his manager, Sir Alex Ferguson told him to just play his normal role when he got on and it paid off as he delivered the killer blow.

"(He said) just play simple as you know. Just go out and play," he added.

"I run to my dad and my family and I went to them and they were celebrating too."
