Manchester United's woes in defeat at West Ham United this week didn't end at the final whistle.
United manager Sir Alex Ferguson's mood would have been worse had he not stayed overnight in London after the game, because the team only got back to Old Trafford at 4am on Wednesday morning after a five-hour trip.
United left Upton Park an hour after the quarter-final to catch a flight from Stansted to Manchester but the plane was diverted to Liverpool and then Leeds. They then had to wait an hour for the team coach.
