Manchester United winger Ashley Young is out of England's squad for their friendly against Scotland.
The 28-year-old has been forced to withdraw from Hodgson's 25-man squad due to injury and misses out on the chance to win his 30th cap.
A short statement released on the Football Association's official website on Sunday night read: "Manchester United forward Ashley Young has withdrawn from the England squad.
"Following discussions between club England medical staff and their counterparts at the club, it was clear that Young would not be ready for the match with Scotland on Wednesday."
