With his United future in doubt, Young is to stand trial on charges of speeding and failing to provide driver details, reports the Manchester Evening News.
He was allegedly caught travelling at about 70mph in a 50mph restricted zone.
The 28-year-old's Range Rover is said to have been clocked by a speed camera on the M6 Toll near Curdworth, Warwickshire on March 7.
The Stevenage-born player has been charged with speeding and a separate offence of failing to provide information relating to the identification of a driver.
He will stand trial at Leamington Spa magistrates' court in January after previously pleading not guilty to the offences.
