Manchester United winger Zoran Tosic is eager for Serbia's World Cup campaign to kickoff tonight.
The Reds winger, who spent the second half of last season on loan at FC Koln, admits he can't wait for Serbia's campaign to begin on Sunday.
"It's in my head all the time. I just can't wait," he told told Belgrade daily Sportski Zurnal.
"However, the pride you take in playing for your own country is not measured in the number of minutes spent on the field. It's about how you use the minutes on the field, not how much time you are there.
"I think I have showed I can make a difference and I will give my best to do the same here in South Africa, if I'm given a chance."
Regardless of whether or not he's involved in Serbia's opening match - against Ghana on Sunday (15:00 BST) - Tosic says Serbia must remain true to their attacking principles.
"We play attacking football and want to take the game to every opposition, not to allow them to attack us," he said. "We won't go gung-ho, but will always try to pose the threat. We need to be slightly cautious in the first game because it can bring us a lot but also take away a lot. I am certain we are smart enough, though."
