Manchester United winger Angel di Maria says Chile's tactics were "perfect" after their Copa America final win over Argentina.

Chile won the final on penalties after holding favourites Argentina to a 0-0 draw.

"It was decided in a second and once again we could not achieve our goal," said a disappointed Di Maria after the match.

"We did everything we could to win and we had many chances. At the end of the game, Higuain could've scored, like Marcos Rojo should have had a penalty.

"Chile's tactics during the match were perfect."
