Manchester United winger Tom Cleverley has suffered a serious knee injury.

After Watford's draw with West Brom, the midfielder, who has starred during his loan spell from Manchester United, was having the damage assessed this morning after being carried off with an oxygen mask attached to his face.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is counting on Cleverley being part of his squad next season.
