Man Utd willing to wait 12 months for Borussia Dortmund striker Lewandowski

A 2013 move to Manchester United is being discussed for Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski.

The Pole has been linked with United this summer, along with Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham.

However, BILD says the most likely option for Lewandowski will be a move to Old Trafford next year - in similar fashion to ex-teammate Shinji Kagawa's switch.

Lewandowski is tied to BVB until 2014 and has resisted efforts to open talks over a new deal. Next summer will present the best time for Dortmund to sell.

The striker's agents are understood to be happy with the long-term United option.
