Man Utd willing to re-open Martial contract talks

Manchester United are ready to renew new contract talks with Anthony Martial.

The Daily Star says Martial still has 15 months to run on his current deal, but United boss Jose Mourinho is keen to tie him down to a new one.

Martial cost the Red Devils almost £60m when he joined them from Monaco in 2015 and has gone on to establish himself following a mediocre start to life at Old Trafford.

Martial held initial discussions with club bosses in December and although no breakthrough was made, sources said the club are confident of reaching an agreement when talks restart next week.

Martial, 22, has scored 36 goals in 129 games since moving from France and Mourinho is keen to secure his long-term future.
