Manchester United are weighing up meeting the buyout clause in Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini's contract.
Corriere dello Sport says United have met with the 22-year-old's agent in London.
And they are willing to activate his £27million release clause, as Roma desperately try and tie him down to a new deal.
United will also double his salary should he move to the Theatre of Dreams in the New Year.
Pellegrini has been a standout player for Roma this campaign - chalking up with two goals and five assists in all competitions.
