Man Utd WILL try again as Inter put £40M Sneijder up for sale

Manchester United are reviving their interest in Inter Milan star Wesley Sneijder. The Daily Star says they will battle it out with Russian giants Anzhi Makhachkala for Sneijder.

The Dutch international looks set to leave Inter Milan in the summer with Anzhi hot on his heels.

The Russian side are the only club able to fund the transfer, with Inter demanding at least £40m.

Sneijder however would be keen on a move to the Premier League, with Manchester United set to make a fresh attempt to sign the midfielder.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson tried to sign the Dutch star last year but failed to strike a deal with the Italian giants. Ferguson has kept close tabs on Sneijder and is keen to make another move for the midfield ace.

An Italian source said: "Inter will sell Sneijder but it will have to be on their terms. They believe he is worth £40m in the current market.

"He is one of the leading players in the world in his position, so he won't be allowed to leave on the cheap. Now we wait and see what happens in the near future."
