Man Utd will prove to be tough opposition - Leeds' McCormack

Leeds United striker Ross McCormack is well aware that Manchester United will provide a difficult opponent in tomorrow night's Carling Cup meeting.

The Whites, currently 11th in the Championship, take on the reigning Premier League champions at Elland Road in the third round of the league cup and McCormack knows his club is in for a tough night.

"I think we have to go with confidence but not with over confidence," the 25-year old told Sky Sports News Radio.

"We have to go and we've got to work hard. Teams in the Premier League have tried and failed (to beat them).

"Hopefully the fans will come out in numbers and make it a hostile atmosphere for the Man United players.

"They are the best team in the country and they should probably handle the atmosphere. So it will be a difficult game.

"They are probably going to have the majority of the possession but we are looking to get behind the ball and get the numbers," added McCormack. "And hopefully we can play some sort of exciting game."
