Man Utd will make Carrick decision when manager situation is known

Manchester United will only make a decision on Michael Carrick's future after their managerial situation is resolved, according to reports from the Daily Mirror.

Carrick has been at United for almost a decade but there is a possibility that the midfielder could be leaving Old Trafford at the end of the season as his current contract is set to expire in June.

Carrick is believed to be keen on extending his stay at United but according to reports, the Red Devils are stalling on the decision of whether or not the 34-year-old is offered a new deal until it is known who will be managing the club next season.

The former Tottenham Hotspur star has been heavily linked with a possible move to the cashed-up Chinese Super League while Newcastle United have also recently shown interest.
