Manchester United are monitoring Ashley Cole's situation at Chelsea.
The Mirror says Liverpool are interested in a summer move for Cole - with the out-of-favour Chelsea star keen to stay in the Premier League for at least one more season.
Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers, who knows Cole from his days as a Chelsea coach, is considering making a move.
United could also become involved if they fail to land Southampton's England Under-21 star Luke Shaw, who is more likely to join Chelsea this summer.
