Manchester United will avoid war-torn eastern Ukraine after drawing Zorya Luhansk in the Europa League.

The Daily Star says the tie, set for December 8, is set to be moved 560 miles across the country to Odessa on safety grounds as the Ukrainian club have been unable to play in their home city of Luhansk for more than two years.

United were placed in Group A with Luhansk along with Dutch outfit Feyenoord and Turkish side Fenerbahce in yesterday's draw.

The Ukrainian side, who finished fourth in their league last season, are based near the border with Russia.

But Luhansk and its surrounding areas have been swept up in a deadly conflict since 2014, when Russia took control of an area of southern Ukraine.
