Manchester United are actively considering a bid for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane.
The Mirror says United are weighing up a summer move for Real's £50million-rated defender Varane.
Jose Mourinho will bolster his central defence this summer, with France international Varane among the targets on the United manager's wish list.
Former United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was in for Varane in 2011, before he opted to join Real, with the Reds eventually signing Phil Jones from Blackburn.
Mourinho tried to sign Varane himself in 2014 during his second spell at Chelsea but was thwarted in his efforts to bring the centre-back to Stamford Bridge.
United sources have indicated a fresh attempt to land Varane - who signed a new deal with Real until 2022 last September - could be on the cards.
