The Mirror says United manager Sir Alex Ferguson had his most trusted scout - brother Martin - at St James' Park for Newcastle United's Europa League clash with Benfica on Thursday.
Martin Ferguson also ran the rule over Benfica defender Ezequiel Garay and midfielder Nicolas Gaitan in their 4-2 aggregate Euro win over the Toon.
