Manchester United are ready to move for Mesut Ozil - once Real Madrid sign Tottenham winger Gareth Bale. The Mirror says Moyes has been trying without success to strengthen in the centre of the park, and Germany international Ozil - linked with the champions on Spanish TV earlier this week - fits the bill.
United will have to persuade Real to sell, but doing so may help the Spanish giants balance the books after a big summer.
Especially if they manage to winkle Gareth Bale out of Tottenham in what would be a world-record deal of at least £80million.
United also have a move for Everton's midfield powerhouse Marouane Fellaini lined up, but want a technical player as well.
