Man Utd waiting on Hull movement for Jones

Manchester United are continuing to wait and see what happens at Hull City in regards to Phil Jones.

Jose Mourinho reportedly wants to send the 24-year-old defender to the KCOM Stadium for a season-long loan but the manager-less Tigers are in no position to make a decision just yet.

Steve Bruce's resignation just under a month out from the Premier League season has the Humberside scrambling to find a replacement which means any transfer activity has been put on hold.

The Daily Record is of the belief that former Red Devils star Bruce wanted Jones to join him at Hull, which would have suited Mourinho as he is keen to revitalise the defence at Old Trafford.

But with no manager in place at Hull, United have to wait and see if the promoted club have maintained their interest in the recently injury-prone former Blackburn Rovers young gun.
