Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs insists they were unlucky in defeat to Carling Cup opponents West Ham United.
United began the match brightly and Gabriel Obertan had a shot pushed onto the post by Robert Green after only six minutes. The incident left Giggs pondering what might have been had the England goalkeeper not displayed such sharp reactions.
"Things could have been different had that shot from Gabby gone in," Giggs told MUTV. "We started the game pretty well but that shot didn't fall for us - it hit the post. Then West Ham scored shortly afterwards and that knocked the stuffing out of us.
"Whenever you come to West Ham, no matter how they're doing, it's always a tough game and they always want to beat us."
