Man Utd veteran Ferdinand invites fresh Moyes row with sack tweet

Rio Ferdinand has invited fresh controversy over his relationship with Manchester United boss David Moyes. The 35-year-old United star has apparently not seen eye-to-eye with Moyes since the Scot replaced Ferguson as boss in the summer, and has openly criticised his team-selection methods.

Yesterday, he tweeted: "Managerial merry go round looks on the cards again....who next after Laudrup are we thinking??"

The tweet provoked criticism, with journalist Nooruddean Choudry, whose Bearded Genius handle has over 36,000 followers, replying: "You know full well what folk are going to say, you big stirrer."

Several others simply wrote back to Ferdinand: "Moyes".
