Man Utd Van Gaal talks stall over Giggs role

Manchester United talks with Louis van Gaal over the manager's job have stalled.

The Belfast Telegraph says negotiations have hit a snag - because the Dutchman isn't keen on having Ryan Giggs as part of his coaching set-up.

Suggestions have emerged that while chief executive Ed Woodward isn't keen on imposing the 40-year-old on David Moyes' successor, he is aware that alienating Giggs could have repercussions with the United faithful.

As such, Woodward is said to be looking at how he can accommodate both men at Old Trafford moving forwards - but van Gaal may not be receptive to his ideas.
