Manchester United are confident Nemanja Vidic will be available for their Champions League tie with Inter Milan.
The Mirror says United will plead with FIFA not to ban Vidic over his Club World Final red card by citing a precedent that helped an Italian club.
AC Milan's Kakha Kaladze was sent off in the 2007 CWC final but escaped a one-game ban.
