Alexis Sanchez has missed Manchester United's US tour due to visa issues.
The Mirror says it is understood the issue relates to Sanchez's decision to accept a 16-month suspended sentence in Spain for tax fraud in February, for an alleged €1million relating to image rights.
United are in the US for a five-match tour and won't return to England until August.
A United spokesperson said: “Alexis Sanchez did not travel due to a personal administrative issue."
Club officials hope that the 29-year-old will be able to join up in the US at some stage.
But if he is unable to, then United face potentially being without Sanchez until their final pre-season friendly, against Bayern Munich, on August 5 - just five days before their Premier League opener against Leicester.
