Manchester United are unhappy with Porto's valuation for James Rodriguez.

The Daily Mail says United have stepped up their pursuit of Rodriguez but been stunned by a massive hike in his asking price.

United enquired about cost and they were told they would have to pay £24m to buy him out of his contract. Later, in a readjustment the release clause was lifted to £36m.
