Man Utd U18 thrash Bury after Cup humiliation

Manchester United U18 thrashed Bury 7-0 yesterday.

Paul McGuinness arranged the fixture to give a run-out to those who would have been disappointed to miss out on Friday's FA Youth Cup tie against Burnley, which saw the Reds suffer a 4-3 defeat.

Sam Byrne and Declan Dalley started after coming off the bench at Old Trafford in the cup exit while unused substitute Kenji Gorre was also included, clearly itching to get involved as his performance illustrated.

After a goalless first half, Gorre scored four times, one from the penalty spot, to take centre stage although it was Josh Harrop who made the breakthrough soon after the restart.

Substitutes Demetri Mitchell and Joe Riley also got on the scoresheet following a raft of changes as the goals flowed the longer the game wore on.
