Manchester United could focus on Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez after ending their pursuit of Alvaro Morata.

Diario Gol says Rodriguez is edging closer to a move to Manchester United.

The Real Madrid forward is surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu, and with the likes of Kylian Mbappe high on Zinedine Zidane's shopping list he looks set to go elsewhere this summer.

And with Morata's move falling through, Rodriguez would be a plan B that doesn't disappoint United boss Jose Mourinho in a major way.

The Colombian has made it clear if he is to leave Real, United would be his priority.
