Manchester United fans are furious with the FA Cup final's 5:30pm kickoff.
The Sunday Mirror says United fans with tickets to next month's FA Cup final against Crystal Palace have reacted furiously to news that kick-off will not be until 5.30pm.
It was announced on Friday that the clash at Wembley on Saturday May 21 will take place after 5pm for the fifth successive season, leading to anger from fans who said the late kick-off would mean they would not get back to Manchester until the early hours of the morning.
The final could finish well after 8pm should extra-time and penalties be needed, with the last train from Euston station – about 45 minutes from the stadium by public transport – to Manchester leaving at 9pm.
Many fans will be arriving in London via car or bus facing at least a four or five hour drive to get home.
