Man Utd told to expect Zlatan difficulties - ‘He has to be no.1’

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's former teammate Pontus Kamark has warned Manchester United to get on the right side of the superstar.

United's signing of Ibrahimovic has been met with plenty of excitement but according to his former Sweden teammate Kamark, the 34-year-old must be kept happy in order to avoid potentially disruptive moments.

The former IFK Goteborg and Leicester City full-back believes Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney can enjoy a fruitful partnership under Jose Mourinho but only if the Red Devils captain steps aside as Old Trafford's key man.

"Hopefully they get along, him and Rooney — and if they do I think it is going to be the perfect match. If they don't, he is going to create a lot of problems," he told the Daily Mirror.

"You can have both sides with Zlatan. He takes a lot of space and there can be a lot of trouble around him but he can also make things happen that would be difficult without him.

"He has been in all kinds of arguments. He called even Pep Guardiola 'The Philosopher' because Messi felt threatened about his superiority and Zlatan doesn't want to be No.2.

"If someone comes in his way, he fights them. He can kick you down in training. He does whatever it takes to be on the throne. That can be for good and for bad — especially if someone doesn't accept that.

"He always finds something because he can never be second best - Zlatan has to be No.1."

Kamark added: "Rooney can be more in the midfield and Zlatan the target player.

"Of course he can score himself but if that works out well it can be a really good match for Man United because they have a lot of players with really good speed around him."
