Manchester United will make a move for Mario Gotze after it was revealed he will not be offered a new deal by Bayern Munich.
According to German publication TZ, attacking midfielder Gotze could be sold by Bayern this summer as he is out of contract at the end of the 2016/17 season and they would rather not lose him for free.
It understood that Bayern chiefs are looking to provide renewals to all of their key players but Germany's World Cup hero Gotze has been forgotten.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been heavily linked with a reunion with the former Borussia Dortmund star but United are also showing considerable interest and are looking to pounce.
During his time with Bayern, 23-year-old Gotze has failed to reach the heights he hit under Klopp at Dortmund and is likely to be moved on if they can find a buyer at the end of the current campaign.
