Manchester United will sell Tyler Blackett and Guillermo Varela this summer.

Sky Sports reports that Jose Mourinho is set to offload the defensive pair as he continues going about strengthening the squad he has inherited from Louis van Gaal.

Blackett, who spent time on loan with Celtic last season, appears surplus to requirements following the summer signing of Eric Bailly from Villarreal and it is also understood that Mourinho prefers Axel Tuanzebe as a youthful option.

In the full-back position, Varela has been pushed aside by the impressive Timothy Fosu-Mensah and is likely to be given permission to leave Old Trafford provided the Red Devils can find an appropriate option for the Uruguayan.
