The Manchester Evening News says United will only move for Napoli star Jorginho if they miss out on Lazio ace Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Jose Mourinho looks set to sign a midfielder when the transfer window reopens with Serie A duo Jorginho and Milinkovic-Savic tipped to move to Old Trafford.
Napoli star Jorginho has supposedly been shortlisted to replace veteran Michael Carrick, who will retire at the end of the season and take up a position on Mourinho's coaching team.
Yet United will only go for Jorginho if they miss out on Milinkovic-Savic.
