Manchester United will bid for Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen this week.

The Sunday Mirror says United chief Ed Woodward will make a £20million move for keeper for Cillessen.

United insist that they will not sanction David De Gea's departure to Real Madrid unless it is at the right price, but that will not stop them stepping up their efforts to recruit Dutch No 1 Cillessen.

The development could influence Victor Valdes' thinking, who has an offer from Valencia.
