Manchester United are scouting Benfica wonderkid Renato Sanches ahead of a potential move, according to reports from the Metro.

United manager Louis van Gaal is desperate to reinvigorate his attack during the January transfer window and recently, Benfica young gun Sanches had been mentioned as a target for the Red Devils who have cast an eye over him in recent outings.

Now in a further development to the story, it can be revealed that United have again sent scouts to Portugal to monitor Sanches more closely and if they continue to be impressed, a bid could be on the cards shortly.
